marker genes
overview

Marker genes are essential for studying microbial diversity. megx.net integrates georeferenced small and large subunit ribosomal RNA (rRNA) sequences form the SILVA ribosomal RNA database project, providing a link between diversity and enviromental data. Details on the available rRNA data can be found on the content page.

The table below lists the sampling sites where rRNA samples have been taken, together with accompanying metadata. The location link will give you details of the sampling site, including number and type of samples taken there, and in situ measurements.
